Sketchbook 1 Red Part 6

I am so tired because I didn't sleep last night. I work at 8:30 in the morning tomorrow and then have a doctor's appointment to goto. I should probably goto bed, but I really, really want to draw. My dishes and dirty clothes are building up around the house and I need to go food shopping and give away one of my cats. I really hate that bridge-gap between wanting to do something while not wanting to do anything while feeling like you should be doing something and the entire time the internet is sitting in your lap saying, "Hello, look at this picture, and this... and this... on and this, and that too." I want to play video games. I want to sew up some of my clothes. I want to draw. I don't know what to do, but i feel like drawing is most important despite how many holes i have in all, but one pair of my jeans. And all my sketches are sketches of sketches; dim, light lines describing loose concepts only i can probably figure out. Better than my old little "notes to self".

Banner WIP

I want everything to be flat and lines except for the skin, but thus far I dislike how it looks. i probably should put it against a red background, because that's the actual color I'm going to use. I would really appreciate some critique here. I'm unsure of the skin shading... Thus far I'm not really where I want it to be. Suggestions will be extremely appreciated.

Looking at a couple of these and other posts I think I should definitely include more life reference work in my current sketchbook. Before it dominated my sketchbook and right now it's pretty absent. Need more balance. I really wish my work didn't keep scheduling me during Dr. sketchy's.

Okay, so this was a poster design for the House of blues for my Experimental Illustration Class.

  Experimental Illustration. Was given an envelope and told to do whatever we wanted. I did this.

  An Illustration I did really fast for a friend's contest over at DA when i first got my tablet.

Experimental Illustration Dyptych. focusing on transgender.

Redoing it to obtain the concept i was working toward before. Melted skin morphing together. More natural anatomy. Proper male anatomy. Facial expression, etc.
