Learning to Digitally paint, yeah

I'm still working on the artwork for my upcoming portfolio website. I have a lot of plans for this summer art wise, as always. I just hope I get to do everything I want and bust my ass, because improvement is priority. Also creativity and fluidity. I should probably post more from my sketchbook. I also need to photograph and scan more work from this year. I'll try to get everything instead of being a butt.

Leave me a note and give me some tips/crit!

    Great start Ashley! You did a good job of capturing the essence of yourself, and proportionally you're doing well too!

    I see that you're keeping to large brushes, great! That's a really good way to block in the values. I'd do lots of these, and don't worry about them being a finish or not, or even if they are good or not. Some will be, some not so much. And that's okay.

    You're looking to get a fluidity to your process and then worry about the finer details.
